A new franchise grab and go salad concept is spreading like wild fire, and we are here for it! Thankfully we live in a city where one of the new Salad and Go drive thru has popped up and let me just say over the last 2 days, we have been 3 times.
Let’s Talk Salad and Go Drive Thru
We are diving in and explaining all the things about Salad and Go, including the menu, is it healthy, nutrition data, what to order, hours, locations, price (it’s cheap!) and how to eat keto.
Don’t like salad? Good news, there are more delicious keto and low carb options for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Before diving into the menu, here are a few things to know about Salad and Go:

This drive-thru salad concept is not only delicious with a healthy and customizable menu – it’s cheap! Bonus, there are several Salad and Go keto options that you will love. Don’t believe me? Remember, they don’t just serve salads. Let’s look at the menu.
What is on the Salad and Go Menu?
Here is a peek at the Salad and Go menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner. There are several food items to choose from.
While each category on the Salad and Go menu offers pre-built options, you are able to easily customize each item you order. (TIP! Order online for easy customizing to make keto ordering easy!)
Salad and Go Breakfast Menu
You can order from the breakfast menu and salads during Salad and Go breakfast hours.
- Salad and Go Breakfast Hours Monday – Friday: 6:30am-10:30am
- Weekends Breakfast Hours: 7am-11am
On the Salad and Go Breakfast menu, we have breakfast burritos. Each breakfast burrito ordered as is are just $2.99. Each burrito comes with a side of their homemade salsa (10 calories!) Keep reading and we will tell you how to order a Salad and Go keto breakfast!
Here are the base breakfast burritos that you can customize:
- Traditional – egg, potatoes, bacon, pepper jack cheese
- Fiesta – egg, potatoes, turkey sausage, pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo, tortilla chips
- Southwest – egg, turkey sausage, pepper jack cheese, roasted poblano peppers.
- Bacon, egg and cheese
- Turkey sausage, egg and cheese
Keto Breakfast Options
When you are ordering a Keto Salad and Go breakfast, here are some great low carb food options and things to know. Unfortunately at this time, the tortillas on the breakfast burrito are a giant NO when it comes to keto and low carb. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some delicious breakfast or brunch.
Here are some suggestions for eating a keto breakfast:
- Keto Breakfast Bowl – bring a bowl or plate and fork (napkins help, too!)
- Keto Breakfast Taco – bring low carb tortillas
Here is what low carb Salad and Go breakfast items to order. Remember, do NOT eat the tortilla! Either use your own low carb tortilla or eat in a bowl or off a plate.
- Bacon, egg and cheese breakfast burrito – as-is or add options if you want (avocado, anyone?)
- Turkey sausage, egg and cheese – same as above
- Southwest – order as-is or customize with low carb options
You will want to avoid potatoes on your breakfast as they will spike your blood sugar and are not keto friendly!
When customizing your breakfast burrito, some options -such as extra protein may set you back – but all food upgrades are VERY affordable. (99 cents and 30 cents depending on customization.)
TIP! Order lunch or dinner while you are ordering breakfast. Here are the options and of course, we will give you the low down on what to eat low carb.
Salad and Go Salads
The Salad and Go salad has to be the star of the show. I mean, the company is named after this. We mentioned earlier – but will again here, the salads are only $5.74 (plus any add-ons you add.)
Another bonus, unlike the breakfast burritos, you have the option to create your own salad.
Before we show you how to order your low carb salad, something to note – as with most salads a lot of the carbohydrate count comes down to the dressing. So let’s tacking the salad dressing first.
Each packet of Salad and Go dressing is 2.5 servings which equals 5 tbsp or 2.5 oz. Below is the nutritional data for 1 serving which is approximately serving size is 2 tbsp or 1 oz. Using the dressing nutritional data below, make the best choice for your daily macros. You can order up to 2 packets of salad dressing per order. (That equals 5 servings of dressing, watch those macros!)

Unfortunately, the Salad and Go nutritional facts show no dietary fiber macros so the carbohydrate count is equal to the net carb estimate. Based on information, choose the Salad and Go dressings for your salad that works best for you.
We are going to go-thru each salad and show you how to order in order to stay low carb.
Here are some general tips to help when you are making customizations and adjustments to your salad order and to consider when building a DIY salad.
- Black beans are a no.
- Salad and Go salads are served in a 48 oz bowl.
- A half cup serving of organic tofu is 6 carbohydrates.
- Avocado is a great alternative or additional add-on.
- Eggs are another great protein source.
- No to croutons and tortilla strips.

- You have the option of spinach, romaine, spring mix or combination of any 2 lettuce options.
- Chicken and tofu are baked and tossed in a house-made ginger-chili marinade.
- Add on steak as a protein for just $2.39.
- Farro (an ancient grain) is an excellent source of protein, but also is high in carbohydrates.

The big decision for the cobb salad comes down to dressing. Use the salad dressing nutrition data table above to determine which is best for your keto diet.
The Salad and Go BBQ Ranch includes: Corn, Black Beans, Pico de Gallo, Avocado, Tortilla Strips, Pepper Jack Cheese, Romaine, Organic Mixed Greens, Chicken or Organic Tofu
How to order keto: Say no thanks to the corn, black beans and tortilla strips. Choose a salad dressing that meets your macros. BBQ ranch dressing is commonly used for BBQ ranch salad.
The Salad and Go Buffalo Chicken includes: Organic Carrots, Celery, Jalapeños, Organic Tomatoes, Croutons, Romaine, Buffalo Chicken
How to order keto: Make sure to skip the croutons! Choose a salad dressing that meets your macros. Creamy blue cheese dressing is commonly used for buffalo chicken salad.

Jalapeño Ranch Salad

How to order keto: No to corn and pickled red onions (due to the hidden sugar.) Choose a salad dressing that meets your macros. Jalapeño Ranch Dressing is commonly used for Jalapeno Ranch Salad.

Winter Harvest Salad

How to order keto: Delete the sweet potato and farro options. Choose a salad dressing that meets your macros. Champagne Vinaigrette Dressing is commonly used for Winter Harvest Salad.
Build Your Own Salad
My choice is the build your own salad. This lets me pick all the exact ingredients that I know that I enjoy to make a delicious low carb salad that is keto friendly!
I enjoy adding avocado, bacon, egg and feta to get my protein in. For vegetables, I love me some red cabbage, organic cucumbers, onions and depending on what flavor I am swaying towards, the peppers.
More Menu Items
Wanting a little protein on the go? The Salad and Go protein box makes a GREAT keto snack idea (or kid meal!) Featuring you choice of any 2 salad ingredients, served with ranch dressing. Buy the protein boxes ahead of time, perfect for those mid-day hangry moments.
In addition to the above, Salad and Go Menu does offer delicious wraps and 3 bean chili soup. Unfortunately, these are not keto friendly. You could order a Salad and Go wrap and substitute your own low carb tortilla or use a keto bread to make a sandwich.
While I am trying my best to drink a gallon of water a day, I do love some ice tea. The Salad and Go drink menu is only $1! That’s right, only a buck for a drink. Here are the low carb options for drinks:
- Organic Cold Brew – bring your own creamer to ensure you stay in your macros.
- Organic Black Tea – either drink without sweetener, or choose to add stevia.
- Water – can’t go wrong with good ole H20! (bonus, it’s free!)
Salad and Go App
I have been ordering thru the website, but recently discovered that there is a Salad and Go app! The app allows you to find locations near you and to easily order online.
If you have read any of our other posts, like the keto taco bell or keto mcdonalds post, we stress how much easier life is for you and restaurant when you order online. You can see all of your options, order and pay ahead of time to save the hassle of going thru the drive-thru.
Salad to Go has a unique drive-thru as it has 2 drive ways. One drive way is for typical ordering. The second drive way is for mobile orders! Pull up to the window at the mobile drive-thru and ring a door bell to let the staff know you are here.
The 2 times that I have used the online mobile ordering, my order has been perfect and ready right on-time!

There are currently Salad and Go locations in Texas and Arizona.

Can I Buy a Salad and Go Franchise?
Interesting fact, Salad and Go Franchise isn’t available because the company is privately owned, currently based in Arizona and Texas. According to their website, there are currently no plans to franchise this salad concept.
Is Salad and Go Healthy?
Yes, Salad and Go offers healthy food options at affordable prices in a fast food, drive-thru setting.
I first learned about Salad an Go from Facebook where the local moms group was BUZZING. We live in the Dallas metroplex and apparently the Salad and Go Plano location was the hot place for grab and go salads. Moms were confessing to going 5 times a week (it’s a good 30 minutes drive, before our the new Salad and Go location opened.)
Healthy Cheap Fast Food
This concept is unique and hopefully a game changer. The idea of non-greasy food that is healthy and affordable while served quickly has been a dream. Guess what, that dream became a reality!
